The Cleveland Society for Human Resource Management (CSHRM) is pleased to announce a year-long partnership with Shoes and Clothes For Kids (SC4K), a Northeast Ohio non-profit that helps children gain confidence and self-esteem by providing them with brand new shoes and clothes free of charge. While raising funds for SC4K is the aim of this event, CSHRM and its partners also hope to collect donations of new children’s clothing, while also raising awareness of the positive things that SC4K does for the
Over the past three years CSHRM has raised over $61,000 for area non-profits including The Gathering Place, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Association of Northeast Ohio and Towards Employment. We are proud of this achievement and are committed through our membership and sponsors to give back to our community.
“We are delighted that CSHRM has selected us to be the beneficiary of its philanthropic efforts in 2012-13. Since SC4K charges no fees for its services, we are 100% reliant on the generosity of donors in the Greater Cleveland community and our program needs to be recapitalized annually.” said Valerie McCormack, Executive Director of Shoes and Clothes for Kids. “The lack of new shoes and clothing is often a barrier to success for many children in our community and CSHRM is helping to fulfill a critical need that most people take for granted.”- Sharon Boyes, Director of Development and Communication, Shoes and Clothes For Kids
